This is blog of radio-observations of distant, low-power and other interesting radio stations on SW and MW by Vitaliy, from Kharkiv, Ukraine.

MY EQUIPMENT:

Long wire 10 meters for western stns

Long wire 11 meters for eastern stns

Long wire 15 meters for western stns

Also I have VEF-216 - old Soviet receiver, I sometimes use it for UHF (aka UKW) and for different experiments with antennas.

This equipment isn't very well for DXing but...sometimes even it gets me many surprises!

ABOUT ME

I started DXing only in the end of April 2010.

Now I am interested in SW (predominantly African and American stations, also euro-pirates), also I try finding interesting stations on MW.

I have not many QSLs now, but I hope I would have more interesting QSL-collection soon. That's a pity that many stations ant tx sites closed in 2009-2010, when I didn't know about DXing. So no it was hard to verify Latvia, and some countries like Belgium remain non-verified yet.

Also I have to explain that I live in big city so DXing is possible predominantly in nighttime - and often with huge noise level...
